Growing up on an Island...

If you were asked to define yourself, what would you say? Mom, Dad, Secretary, College Student or Fisherman? For as long as she could remember, Teagan Oliver has chosen to define herself as a wife, a mom, a hardworking writer who has spent years honing her craft... and an island girl.

"Growing up with the ocean as your backdrop and the close-knit community as your family, it becomes impossible to separate that part of you without performing what is the equivalent of an amputation of the heart."

It didn't matter that the island was connected to the mainland or that all the comforts of modern civilization were mere miles away. Teagan's stories were fostered on evenings spent  listening to local legends over a cup of tea around her grandmother's kitchen table and her imagination was nurtured by hot summer afternoons spent climbing along the shoreline in search of pirate treasure.   

A Mainer by blood and heart, Teagan lives in Midcoast Maine along Casco Bay. She is a founding member and past President of Maine Romance Writers and a long-time member of Romance Writer's of America. She presently writes for Five Star and Wings Press.

January 2007 marks the release OBSIDIAN, her first romantic suspense novel for Five Star, an Imprint of Thomson Gale Publishing.
