even some interesting research tidbits for my current work
in progress set in Belfast, Northern Ireland. The word Brehon is an ancient term for an early system of laws that the Celts devised. Set as they were apart from much of the world they created laws that covered all aspects of daily life and all classes of people. They were even traveling judges who dispensed judgments as they traveled throughout the country. This system of law is the basis for many of today's laws including those in the United States. Brehon has been studied by the some of the greatest universities and used to teach at places such as Harvard and Yale. Just another interesting tidbit. |
